P-aminophenol is an important organic intermediate widely used in pharmaceuticals, dyestuffs and organic synthesis. The p-aminophenol industry is the first major industry downstream of p-nitrochlorobenzene, with a total industry capacity of about 115,000 t/a in 2020.

The main producers of p-aminophenol are: Bayi Chemical with a capacity of 60,000t/a, Taixing Yangzi Pharmaceutical & Chemical Co. The plant is purchased from outside.

Influenced by the increase in demand for cold and flu drugs due to the new pneumonia epidemic, the start-up rate of the p-aminophenol industry in 2020 reached 91.3%, the best level in many years.
